Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 18 October 1986. Taylor talks about his early religious and family life in Beachland County, Virginia. He describes his conversion to the Mormon Church and its impact on his family life and on others including Mormons, non-Mormons, blacks, and whites.
